A good start, but this document is written with the assumption that the police officer’s motivation in obtaining video or photographs would be to secure possible evidence, rather than destroy it.

Where are the laws that would apply to holding officers accountable to destroying potential evidence? Isn’t this an obstruction of justice under the criminal code of Canada? This is a pressing concern given the increasing reports by citizens of officers arbitrarily seizing recording devices and deleting their content.
